![]() Ship Simulation and Vehicle simulation both have decent and active communitys. I am really looking forward to giving this ago tomorrow, I only discovered this in September and have been eagerly awaiting a release since then! Congratulations also into getting this project onto Steam, what a great oppertunity to maximise the amount of potential customers you can reach, and thus hopefully becoming closer to realising what yourselves and the community would like this to turn into. But then again I am purely speculating on what I believe would be easy and would not be easy without knowing anything about the engine or tools that you are using, so I could be and probably am wrong! But that is not excactly a deal breaker, because if that was not implemented for example, I am sure that most add on vessels would be of high quality. Most of the features I mention above I would imagine are quite trivial things, minus the custom content. It is these tiny attentions to details which you have covered, that go a long way in my oppinion into making it a conving simulation. For example it doesnt look or feels like it looks like a toy tug boat bobbing in the water, but a multi tonned steel vessel! Something from my (limited) programming knowledge I know would take alot of time and effort to get correct, not to mention having an interest in the subject at hand! My hat goes off to you all, especially for such a small team, it is fantastic. The physics look great, that little tug boat bobbing in the water looks very convincing in how it rides the waves and how you get a sense of mass and weight with the thing. From what I can see in the videos, the foundations look to be very good so far. ![]() That is a very good plus point, especially on a simulation such as this. It is also great to hear directly from the developers. This is something that does look very, very good so far :) Obviously like I said getting the foundation right first is more important, aka acurately simulating ships in water. All of the features I have outlined above could be added to European Ship Simulator I am sure. I believe it also has the potential to become the best simulator out there. You can already tell from the videos that it has a very good foundation. Regardless of price and quality I will be purchasing European Ship Simulator friday and giving it a good run for it's money. But it is very fun sailing a high speed ferry across somewhere such as the Gibraltar straights in the morning sun. Such as downloading all these scenerys and ships is a long process as not everything is on one single website but many, and most add on ships are difficult to find. ![]() While it has it's plus points it also has it's negative points. Many 3rd party ships of all sizes and type including ferries such as Incat high speed ships, Stena HSS, Stena Superfast, Ulyssess, plus lots more.Ĭustomizable ship handling / config file including things such as thrust vectoring for high speed ships, for very acurate handling. Many scenerys where you can sail long crossings between ports. Some of the reasons why Vehicle Simulator is very good is because of the following: I currently use Vehicle Simulator and before that Virtual Sailor. I am looking forward to seeing what this will be like, It looks like it has the foundation to be a very good ship game.
